Ok, October isn’t officially WordPress month in Minnesota, but it may as well be. Our community has an impressive lineup of events to support bloggers, developers, designers, and businesses that use WordPress as their publishing platform.
Prestige Conference – Friday, Oct 3rd & Saturday, Oct 4th
Prestige Conference covers the business side of running a small shop or agency. If you work independently and charge clients money for services related to WordPress, this is the conference for you.
Their 2-day event features nationally-recognized speakers that have built different businesses from the ground up. Learn firsthand the techniques they used to launch themselves into success, and get inside advice on which mistakes to avoid making in your own enterprise.

WordUp – Saturday, Oct 18th
The 3rd annual WordUp! event will be hosted by the Minneapolis WordPress User Group. This is a day of connecting with other beginner, intermediate, and advanced WordPress users to learn together while networking with your peers.
Attendees are encouraged to submit their own topics to present at the event. It’s a great opportunity to share your own knowledge of WordPress with other like-minded individuals.

MN Blogger Conference – Saturday, Oct 25th
We’d obviously be remiss if we didn’t include our own event on the list. The 5th annual MN Blogger Conference will take place at St. Catherine University in St. Paul on Saturday, October 25th. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced bloggers are welcome to attend, no matter which publishing platform you are using. (WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, SquareSpace, etc… we love you all.)
Speaker submissions are being accepted through Friday, Sept 19th. Volunteers applications are also welcome.
